Hello McMillan Families!
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. On behalf of our staff, I am excited to extend a warm welcome to all our students, both returning and new, and their families to McMillan Elementary. I am anticipating an amazing year with you all.
As we move forward, please understand that the well-being, safety, and educational growth of our students are our top priorities. We have been working diligently to get ready for the school year.

This year we will continue to center our community of learners by focusing on our learner dispositions: collaboration, thinking, self-motivation, perseverance, curiosity, and reflection. By helping our students gain these values, we help our students to remain successful in their learning.
I encourage you to actively engage in your child's education and maintain open lines of communication with us. By working together, we can provide the support and guidance our students need to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. We strive to ensure that every student has at least one year's growth in one year's time.
Because we understand that nutrition, sleep and attendance have a huge impact on students' learning, we ask that you help with the following.
Have your student(s) get at least 9-10 hours of sleep each night
Limit electronics before bed as it helps sleeping habits
Make sure your student(s) eat a good breakfast, either at home or at school
Have your student(s) here, on time at least 164 school days.
