ZB Parent Bulletin
A message from the Principal...
Hello ZB families,
Please come out to learn more about your students' progress at Parent Teacher Conferences this Thursday, February 8th, at 6:30 PM. Parent involvement makes students and schools better!
Beginning on January 30th, students and teachers across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the eleventh annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent/guardian, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. The QR code below will take you to the survey. Please complete it at your earliest convenience.
Additionally, your district has chosen to provide the optional supplement parent survey. If at least 20 percent of Zion Benton parents/guardians complete this survey, a parent report will also be generated. The parent data will not be included on the State Report Card. Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
In other news, our Black History month program will be taking place on February 24th, in our Performing Arts Center from 12 to 2 pm. Please come on out to enjoy the celebration as we highlight "African Americans and the Arts"!
With Zee-Bee Pride,
Mr. Zackary Livingston

9th Grade on Track Ceremony
At the end of January, we honored all of our 9th grade students who earned all of their semester one credits. Students identified as “on track” have earned at least five full-year course credits (10 semester credits) and have earned no more than one semester “F” in a core course (English, math, science, or social science).

Both Luis Medina and Francisco Yilmaz finished third in their class to advance to the Barrington Sectional this weekend.
