Saying Hello…
Please join me in welcoming our new Santa Rita Staff Members…
Lauren Kim, 2nd grade - Hi! My name is Lauren Kim and I am excited to be joining Santa Rita on the second grade team. I used to teach kindergarten at Oak in LASD and am so glad to be back. I’ve been supporting K-2 teachers in literacy at Teachers College. I’m a Bay Area native and am so happy to be heading back to my favorite coast. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, drawing and practicing yoga.
Jill Croft, 4th grade - I am excited to be teaching 4th grade at Santa Rita next year! I have been in LASD since 2000, teaching 4th and 5th grade, and most recently in the role of Instructional Support Teacher. I am passionate about literacy and supporting students to build agency and a love of learning. I have two teenage sons, and love reading and walking my new puppy.
Go Bobcats!
Brianna Larinto, 5th grade- Hi, my name is Brianna Lorenz! I am a Southern California native that loves to cook, read, and go hiking in my free time. I’ve been teaching 3rd and 4th grade for the last 5 years on the central coast and I’m very excited for my next adventure in Los Altos, teaching 5th grade at Santa Rita!
Tegwyn John, 6th grade -I am from Southern California, then moved to NorCal for school. I studied Linguistics and Psychology at UC Davis, and stayed there for my teaching credential and Masters in Education. I then moved to the Bay Area and began my teaching journey. I first taught 3rd grade, and have been teaching 5th grade for the past two years. My favorite parts about teaching are the individual relationships I get to have with every student and seeing students’ growth over the school year. When I am not teaching, I am either playing tennis, baking, or reading for hours on end. I am so excited to join this community as one of the 6th grade teachers!
Eliana Monti, Speech and Language -Hi! I’m Eliana Monti, a bilingual (Spanish/English) speech-language pathologist with over 13 years of experience in the field. I have worked in many different settings including public schools, hospitals, and private practice. I joined LASD in August 2023 and love it here! I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and Spanish is my first language. My family moved to the United States when I was six years old and I learned English in elementary school. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Davis and went on to obtain my Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from San Jose State University in 2012. I am passionate about helping children improve their communication skills. My goal is to provide individualized care to enhance success within the school environment. I look forward to working with you at Santa Rita next year!
