Bee Cave Beehive
6.3.20
Dear Bobcat Parents,
I hope this newsletter finds everyone healthy and enjoying the summer!
I want to thank everyone for their hard work the last few months of school. I saw a lot of smiling faces and really cool things happening virtually in April and May.
My intent with this newsletter is to share some of the good news and accomplishments that occurred at the end of the year!
Please find time to relax this summer and stay healthy. We (myself and the district) will keep you informed on the beginning of the 20-21 school year as things are decided.
Take care,
Principal Kellner

1. Communication
Here at BCMS, I communicate with families through a weekly newsletter, published on Fridays. These newsletters are also posted on my website. As of now, we do not have your email address in our database, but will be working with the technology department to allow you to receive correspondence from our school this coming June.
2. Summer Reading Lists
Our summer reading lists for incoming 6th graders, as well as 7th and 8th grade are published on our website. These reading lists are generated by our ELA Department teachers and are beneficial to keeping kids connected to learning over the summer.
3. PE and Dance Uniform Orders
Our Athletic and Dance Department will publish the uniform ordering process this coming Fall, in August, for our incoming Raiders. You do not need to purchase anything in advance and we will notify you when that process opens up online.
4. School Supplies
BCMS school supply ordering is online through a company called Sprouts and the information is listed on our website. You can also access this through this School Supply Link. Pre-Orders are due July 14th.
5. Beginning of Year Events
We will communicate all beginning-of-year events as we learn more about what school will look like in the fall. There are several traditional events we plan, but no final decision will be made until we know more about our return in August. We will certainly communicate with you as we receive updates from our district leadership team.
Have a wonderful summer and stay safe out there. We look forward to seeing everyone in the Fall.
GO RAIDERS!

Thank you BCE Parents ... Our Silent Auction was a success!!
Our PTO Silent Auction fundraiser results are in! We are excited to announce that a net of over $11,500 was raised!!
After our annual live event was cancelled, we quickly shifted gears, and have so many people to thank for helping to make this fundraiser possible.
THANK YOU to:
-All of the families who donated funds towards the class auction baskets
-The room parents for creating the baskets
-Local businesses who generously donated items & certificates for the auction
-Lakeway Orthodontics and Hill Country Galleria for sponsorship donations
-Everyone who bid on items and participated in the auction!
With the uncertainty created by these difficult times, we are especially grateful for our community of supporters. It is through your donations that the PTO is able to continue to offer enrichment programs, host community events, appreciate teachers, and fund tens of thousands of dollars of recurring annual expenses to support BCE students!
THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our school this year with your time and resources. We couldn't do this without you!!
Book Writers Contest Winners ... Way to go Bobcats!
First of all, the PTO would like to tell you how PROUD we are of each and every one of the students who completed their book! We know that the past few months have been challenging in many ways, and keeping them going on this task was likely not easy. The talent and creativity expressed in each book was inspiring to see. We hope you will encourage your children to keep writing - they have so many great stories to tell!
Normally, our Book Writers Contest winners are announced at an assembly at the end of the year and are presented with their ribbons and prizes. Even though we are not able to recognize them in front of their peers, we hope that they each still feel special and proud.
