June 13: Last Day of School: Early Dismissal and Family Picnic following Field Day

There will be no afternoon bus on the last day of School. All students will need to be picked up!

Please call the school by 2PM if you are looking to make a plan to your student's dismissal plans.

Please take a moment the next time you are at the school to check Lost & Found for anything your student might be missing.

Mr. Boyd is collecting photos of the fifth graders as little ones and is looking for 3-5 photos of each student. If you could please send your photos to hboyd@dves.k12.vt.us

Dear Families,

This spring students at TVES have prepared the school garden and our vegetables are beginning to grow. This year we have 8 raised beds, some refurbished, all planted with a variety of pumpkins.

This summer we hope to get a group of volunteers to each come to school one time and check on the garden. This work will include pulling any weeds and watering.

Also, when you visit the school garden this summer, we hope you will enjoy our brand new perennial beds. In honor of a former teacher, Susan Sweeney, we established two new raised beds that we will fill with flowers over a period of time.

Please fill out the response form being sent home and return to your child’s teacher before the end of school. We are out 10 weeks for summer vacation. Our goal is to have at least one volunteer per class to help out during that time.
