Goal Setting
Learning to set goals is a lifelong skill that will serve students in all aspects of life: high school, college, and throughout their personal and professional lives. Goal setting is fundamental for long-term success. If a student doesn’t have a goal in mind, how can they expect to get there if their academic goals are not clearly defined?

AWARDS & NEWS
- 2021 White Raven Award
- 2021 Nominated for Carnegie Medal
I had noticed this collection of books on the library shelf and had been eager to explore them. Although the series seemed intimidating due to its length and the size of the volumes, I finally took the plunge—and I have no regrets! Sam may only be a 14-year-old, but he has become a role model for his peers, who all admire him for his courageous act of saving children from a bus accident. So when anyone 15 years and older mysteriously vanish and the situation becomes uncertain, he appears to be the ideal person to turn to for guidance. He faces the challenge of protecting those who can't protect themselves, all while grappling with the emerging power struggles. Meanwhile, a darker force begins to rise in the form of Caine, a boy who has also gained powers and is willing to use them for his own gain. Gone is fast-paced, intense, and filled with suspense, drawing readers into a world where nothing is as it seems, and every choice could be a matter of life or death.
If you like books like The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, The 5th Wave or Legend this book is for you! This book along with all the other in this series are available at your library, check out more titles on our shelves with our online catalog.
