2025 Starlight Silent Auction Bidding is OPEN - The 22nd Annual Maryville City Schools Foundation Starlight Gala will be held on Friday, February 28th at the Airport Hilton. The event includes a celebration of the recipients of this year’s Starlight Awards and a live auction. If you cannot attend the Gala, you can also provide support through the Silent Auction. Each school in the district offers unique items for bid, and each school directly benefits from the sale of its items. Yearbooks - Yearbooks MUST be purchased by March 3rd. We will not be ordering any extra yearbooks. Please place your order before March 3rd. Yearbooks are $40 and can be purchased online, in cash, or by check. If you have any questions, please reach out to Tori Capps at tori.capps@maryville-schools.org.

Maryville City Schools believes that every student deserves to enter the next phase of life with the appropriate tools for that next step. MCS desires to prepare every student to be "Ready" for one of the three "E"s: Enrollment, Employment, or Enlistment. By taking this purposeful and intentional approach, MCS has designed a college and career program that fits the individual needs of every student. Every student will be "Maryville Ready". Breakfast and Lunch are no longer free. Breakfast is $1.60. Lunch is $3.15.

Free/Reduced meal applications for the 24-25 school year will be ready to submit by July 18. Using our online application process is user-friendly and much faster to process than a paper form; however, you may request a paper application from your student's school. Only one application is needed per family.

If you receive any government assistance such as food stamps, Medicare, etc., you DO NOT need to apply. Current benefits from the previous school year will carry over until September 13; therefore, you have 30 school days to update your student's application.

Ready to Start Driving? Students MUST request their 1010 Form in the MJHS Attendance Office before going to the DMV to receive their Learner’s Permit. If you have additional questions, please contact Mrs. Jenkins in the school office or email chris.jenkins@maryville-schools.org. 1010 forms are given based on the previous 9 weeks' grades. If you are failing multiple classes, you are not eligible for a 1010 form until your grades are brought up to passing. The 1010 forms are good for 30 days during the school year.

Students are expected to be on time for school. MJHS students MUST be seated in their first-period class by 8:20 am. Each student will receive 5 excused tardies with parent/guardian notes. After those five, every tardy to school will be unexcused without medical or legal notice. Every three unexcused tardies will be documented as one unexcused absence and will count toward the Progressive Truancy Plan.

Students are limited to ten (10) excused days with parental notes for the year. Any absences beyond those ten (10), without medical or legal documentation, will be unexcused. This school year, the guidelines also apply to absences due to COVID-19.
