PLEASE be prepared to pick up on time every day! As a reminder, we will have two early release days for staff professional development this week. On Monday and Wednesday, we dismiss at 12:58.

It is my great privilege to announce that California PBIS has OFFICIALLY recognized Lake as a CA PBIS GOLD school! Read the full letter HERE. This is not only a direct result of our PBIS teams’ hard work under Catherine Worrell’s and Holly McManus’ dedicated leadership with Tier I and Tier II, respectively, but it is also a result of Team Lake’s school-wide commitment to the implementation of PBIS. We are teaching positive behavior in great ways, bit by bit, socially, and emotionally.

Excited for the Lake Elementary PTA September Events? So are we!

Registration for afterschool clubs opens on the Lake Dolphins PTA website at www.lakedolphins.org at 6:00 p.m. on September 9th. While you’re there, be sure to join the Lake Dolphins PTA and support our school and students!

If you are able to assist with any of the clubs, please reach out to the lakedolphins@gmail.com for more information. We are especially looking for adults able to contribute during Running Club on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:00 a.m.

Be sure to join our Back to School Party on September 20th on the Lake Elementary School Field from 4:30-7:00 p.m. We’ll also be kicking off our annual fundraiser.. The Lake Dolphins Reading Olympics! We’ll be encouraging our students to pile up their books and get ready to read and raise!

We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Vista Unified School District called ParentSquare for the 2024-2025 school year. (This replaces Remind) This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection.

Our bell schedule has changed - please mark the new dismissal times. On Monday, dismissal is at 12:58 p.m. On Tuesday-Friday, dismissal is at 2:18 p.m.

Please update your data at the Aeries Parent Portal - follow the steps above.

• CAR RIDER LINE: Families picking up and dropping off, PLEASE help our line move efficiently by NOT getting out of your vehicles while still in the car line. Please train your children to buckle or train them to sit safely while you find a safe place to pull over and make the needed adjustments for the ride home. THANK YOU!
  
• At dismissal, please utilize both lanes for pickup and be prepared with your child's name, grade and teacher.

The purpose of our Student and Parent Handbook is to assist our students and families with important information regarding school policies, procedures, and agreements we have set us up for us to have an enjoyable, successful, and safe school year.
