Dear families,
Last week I had the opportunity to celebrate a few of our teachers at a District wide event. It is an honor to work with fantastic teachers who are dedicated to our bison. They’ve set big goals for our bison that I know we can reach with your help. Over the break, I want to encourage you to have students practice their skills by reading, speaking, and writing in a fun way! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful break with your families. See you all soon!
In the fall semester, our students took a School Environment Survey through Panorama. This survey gives is one data point that we can use to evaluate part of our students' experience at school. The survey is broken up into three sections: School Belonging, School Climate, and School Safety. For both elementary and middle school students, our students' perceptions exceed the district average in all three areas. Most notably, elementary students responded most favorably about the support they received from adults on campus and middle school students responded most favorably about the respect they receive from students at our school. Additionally, middle school students reported an increase in the sense of belonging they feel compared to the previous survey data. Thank you for your partnership and support of our school. I recognize the role that each of you plays in developing the positive culture and sense of belonging that students feel at Upper Campus.
