Greetings Forest Park Students and Families,
FPE Teachers and Staff feel especially appreciated this week; thank you Students and Families for sharing your appreciations through personal notes, gifts, greetings, projects and food. We all feel the FOFPE love!

Thank you families for your unwavering support through volunteerism, donations, and fundraising. Please check out the FOFPE insert below to learn about doubling your charitable investment! The school board’s vote last night to begin dismantling how foundations raise funds to secure staff positions will take effect in the 25/26 school year. This means we can use the funds raised this year for the purposes intended for the 24/25 school year. Please know that FOFPE and I will brainstorm how we continue providing extra classroom support in the years to come. I appreciate your support.
Ballot Measure Message from PPS: Portland Public Schools has referred a measure to the May 2024 ballot. At Forest Park, the measure would fund 4 teaching positions in the 2024-25 school year if passed. Click for more information: rmd.me/Y3F7ZLY1xlN
Westside School Funding Town Hall happening at Chapman on Tuesday, May 14th from 6:30 to 8:00pm. This event is co-hosted by the Portland Association of Teachers, Portland Council of the PTA, Community & Parents for Public Schools, and Families for Equity in Schools. Six Westside legislators or legislative candidates are attending, and kids, families, educators are all invited. Register to attend on this link.
FPE’s annual Successful Schools Survey window opened Monday of this week. For more information please click this link. Please follow this link to take the survey. Please select your school site from the drop-down list once on the survey home page. Families with more than one student can respond for their eldest student or take the survey more than once.
Art Night two weeks from tomorrow: We are excited to open up our school building May 23rd, from 6pm to 7pm, for Art Night! Please mark your calendars, FPE students participated in art lessons throughout the school year and have a lot to share. Let’s join together to celebrate!
