The Scoop!
Cedar Hills Elementary - September 20, 2024

May 16, 2025 - Principal's Note
Memories are definitely being made in May! While this is a very busy time of year, it also brings some of our favorite memories for our students. This week we had an all school assembly that showcased the fine arts work of our Cheetah Choir, 4th grade recorders, and our stings class. We also hosted 5th grade farewell on Thursday and the students celebrated with their classmates at BVW for the afternoon. That day we also had the graduating seniors from BVW walk the halls one last time and our students cheered them on as they step into the next chapter of life.
Please take a minute to check out the summer reading challenge, addition of IXL to our resources (and summer possibilities), and the work CHE Cares does with Scraps KC in the sections below.
Have a great weekend!

Don’t forget to “Read More Books!” 🦎
📈 IXL - Math 📈
We are thrilled to relay that we've added IXL - Math to our academic supports for our students through a grant from KSDE. All of our students have accounts and login information already. Your classroom teacher will send the login information home next week. This is definitely something that students can use over the summer!
We've also uploaded information into their accounts, so there will be a "summer" program built in IXL that is tailored to individual skill sets. You're free to use the summer program at home and help keep skills sharp.

Civility For All - Students, Staff, and Community
We are thankful for the ongoing partnership and support we experience in our school community. Working together we ensure the best possible student experience allowing them to realize personal success. There are times, however, when issues arise which require our continued collaboration to resolve. Families may utilize the matrix linked on the district website to best address questions and concerns that may arise throughout the course of a school year. Finally, all staff and visitors should conduct their business free from intimidation, harassment, or bullying. The district’s Board of Education states expectations regarding civility within Policy 6341. Again, thank you for your partnership in helping to maintain a safe school community environment for all.
