Upcoming Events
Spring is almost here and the weather is finally giving us a little more sunshine! As we inch towards the end of the year, we have some amazing opportunities coming up within the district. Check out both the Transition Celebration and SEPAC Movie Night below. These are both great events to learn more about what our community has to offer as well as meet some other families and students within the district.
Transition Celebration!
The annual PALS Transition Celebration Night is coming up on Thursday, March 6th at Moses Lake High School, starting at 5:30pm. Join us for an evening dedicated to supporting families and students with disabilities as they navigate the transition to life after high school. Some services that will be in attendance are: DDA, DVR, Goodwill, Entrust, First Choices Services, GTA, People for People, and many more! We will also have a resource table with the many college programs available around us that have specified programming for students with disabilities. Whether you have a son or daughter who is graduating this year or in the years to come, it is never too early to get this information.
Check out the flyers below for additional information.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please reach out to Jodi Truman (jtruman@mlsd161.org). Hope to see you there!
SEPAC Movie Night featuring Inside Out 2!
Come join us Thursday, March 13th for snacks and the showing of Inside Out 2 at Moses Lake High School sponsored by the Moses Lake School District SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) and the Special Services Department.
This is a great opportunity to bring the kids and enjoy a movie on us. The SEPAC team, as well as the Special Services department will be there to provide information about how to get involved in SEPAC as well as answer any questions you may have.
This event is free and welcome to all. Child care will not be provided.
The mission of the Moses Lake School District SEPAC is to facilitate collaboration between students, parents, staff, the Board of Education, and the community at large. The SEPAC will promote training and resources, inclusive practices, understanding of, respect for, and support of all children with special needs in our community.

This last month's Special Services Superhero nominations are in. We love hearing about all the amazing things happening around the district. Our January Superhero is featured below, but like before, all of our nominees will receive personal recognition from SEPAC.
REMEMBER! - Keep the nominations coming (link below). We love hearing how staff across the district are making a difference in our student's lives!
