New Students: Claiming your CPCC Account
Most of our new students have obtained their CP ID number and submitted it to us through our New Student Information Form - thank you!
Now that you have your CPCC ID number, the next step is to ACTIVATE your CP account to obtain your CP username, password, and email address. It is imperative that you write down your username, password, and email address once you get them. We as a high school do not have access to your CP credentials and cannot reset them for you. Parents – please do not do this for your student! If you claim it for them and they don’t have the information, it will be difficult for them to access the necessary CP platforms when they come to school. Work together to support your student as they complete these steps. Follow the instructions outlined here to activate your account at CP. If you have any issues, or you are unable to activate your account, you may call the CPCC Help Desk (704-330-5000).
Activating your account NOW before school starts will make your life much easier 🙂
High School Schedules
My goal is for high school schedules to be available in PowerSchool by the week of July 22. I will send an email when they are viewable. As a reminder, high school schedules are built based on graduation requirements – students do not need to complete course selections in PowerSchool. A sample course plan, showing a typical 9th grade schedule, is linked here. Students who have availability for a fall 2024 CPCC class have already met with me and should have completed registration. All 9th graders will take HEA 110 & PED 110 to meet their high school Health & PE graduation requirement, as well as ACA 122. These classes will be taken either first semester or second semester, based on your other high school classes, and we will register you for them.
CPCC Schedules
Please note that CPCC classes will NOT show on PowerSchool schedules until closer to the start of school. Students should access their college class schedule in MyCollege. Take some time to double check that your classes are on the correct campus, at a time that works for you, and during the correct session (first 8 weeks, second 8 weeks, or full semester). If you need to make adjustments to your college schedule for the fall and are not able to make them in MyCollege, please email me the course name and section of the classes you want to add/drop and I can send them to the registrar to be done manually.
