Yesterday, our Bateman Graduation Ceremony celebrated the Bateman Class of 2024! We reflected on the incredible influence and dedication of our educators, the partnership with our families, and the accomplishments of our students. We are optimistic about their futures and their continued positive impact on our world. Our graduates will be attending over 20 high schools next year across the city and no matter where they attend, we know they are ready.

As we shared at a recent LSC meeting, over 93% of students were awarded offers at their top 3 choices of schools. The High School selection process is dynamic in nature and with the support from Ms. Rivera, parents, and the 8th Grade Team, our graduates are able to navigate it seamlessly. There is a school and program for every student. We are immensely proud of their final selections and know that our students are not only set up for success but will thrive throughout their high school years and beyond. We invite you to take a look at the breakdown of our graduating class below.

As we move into the last week of school, please reflect on the many ways in which you impacted the journey of our graduates, supported the success of each of our students, and uplifted each other this year. You make a difference! We invite you to also take a moment to share moments of pride with your child(ren) to continue celebrating their progress. We have so much for which to be grateful and our community has bright days ahead!

Sign Up by Friday, May 31st!

If you would like to sign up your child(ren) to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge 24-25, please complete the sign up below! All students will meet on the last day of school to receive their notebook, review the steps to complete the challenge, and get excited! Students must be enrolled at Bateman in the 2024-2025 school year to participate. Please complete one sign up per child!

Students will be asked to read 25+ books and write a response to each book in their notebooks. Readers who complete the challenge AND turn in their notebooks to Ms. Kloepper during the first week of school will be invited to a fun celebration in September!

If your child/children are currently in K-7th grade but will not be attending Bateman next year please complete this form and stop by the main office to complete the transfer paperwork. Although we do not want to see any of our families leave, we do need documentation to ensure we can plan classrooms effectively and share student records with the new school. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ms. Rivera at elrivera6@cps.edu.

Looking Ahead at Bateman

Join us on Saturday, September 14th, as the Fire takes on the New York Red Bulls. The match begins at 7:30pm at Soldier Field. Bateman will receive $5 per ticket sold to benefit our Physical Education and Athletics departments.
