December RFHS Wildcats Newsletter
December 20, 2024
Message from the Prinicpal
Greetings RFHS Students and Families,
Winter Break is finally here. As you take time to travel, celebrate, and spend quality time with family please make good choices and be safe. While you relax and "recharge" your batteries, this is also a wonderful season to reflect on the past year and the year ahead. A key focus area to reflect on is character.
Since 2010, the District has built a foundation of character into its culture with a goal of inspiring our youth to understand, build, and practice 9 positive character traits to enable students to flourish in school, in the workplace, and within society. So what should character actually look like? It should look like carrying an injured classmate's lunch tray or backback - simply doing the right thing. It should be integrity first - acknowledging mistakes and making an effort to correct them. It should be adhering to classroom expectations, doing your part to complete group projects, or saying something when witness to cheating or potential student harm. I see this in our students and I look forward to seeing more in the upcoming year.
As we come to the end of 2024 and begin anew in 2025, I encourage our students to reflect on their character strengths and where they can improve. Specifically, how will character improve my relationships, my academic career, my professional career, and my overall quality of life?
It's an honor and privilege to serve you and your students. Please be safe and have a peaceful and joyous Christmas!

Volunteers Needed
Senior Exit Interviews
The second round of the RFHS Senior Exit Interviews will take place on Friday, January 17th from 8am-11:15am in the River Falls High School Library Media Center. We have over 130 students scheduled for that day and need about 65 volunteers. Volunteers will play a crucial role in facilitating these interviews, providing support to students as they share their achievements, growth, and future aspirations. Your involvement will contribute significantly to making this event a success and ensuring our seniors have a memorable and meaningful conclusion to their high school journey.
PLEASE REVIEW THE EVENT DETAILS DOCUMENT LINKED HERE.
