The Scoop from the Snake-pit!!

This newsletter is going to function more as a quick resource. The month is halfway over and I only want to share the essentials. There are lessons, articles, links to the Texas Book Festival and book features that celebrate "National Picture Book Month" coming up in November. I'm wishing you a very happy fall! Teachers, please remind your students that there is a hallway drop for those only wanting to return books. It's quick, easy & an efficient use of instructional time.

October 25, 2023 (Wednesday), after school from 3:35-4:15 there will be our 1st Gamma Sigma Girl Scout meeting. There's still time to join & it's free. Please see Ms. Darnell for enrollment forms.

Please note that the library will be closed November 13-18. I will be away at a Leadership Institute. Encourage the students to check out books before November 10th so they're happily READ until I return! 📚

The library is open daily from 8:00am-3:30pm. I take "C" lunch from 12:25-12:55, closing briefly for nourishment. Reserving the library can be made here. Please send students with their student ID on, a legitimate pass on their agenda from their classroom instructor (name, date/time of student & staff) and reason for their visit. Students are required to have their IDs on throughout the school day and in the library.
