We were just recently informed by our new show designer that - in addition to the sizings we did in May for band competition TOPS - we will need to fit ALL BAND members for JACKETS. For sizing, students will need to try on a band jacket. Sizings will take place on:

TUESDAY, JUNE 20TH

5:30 - 8:30pm

JHS Band hall

We do not have a makeup day for this jacket at this point. Please do your best to attend this date. If you have a conflict for which you will not be able to attend, please submit your name to THIS FORM.

Do you have a CDL? Then we need you! The Johnson Band is looking for help driving our second trailer next year. If you qualify and are interested in helping, please contact Mr. Joey Lucita at Joey.Lucita@hayscisd.net.

The TMF online store is now open for replacement summer uniform items. The store will also carry duffel bags and other spirit items. The store will close June 9.

Freshmen/Rookie members will receive their entire summer uniform and water jug as part of their band/guard fees. Freshmen/Rookie members are strongly encouraged to order the duffel bag now for the fall.

Returning members will need to order their own uniform replacements or new sizes via the TMF store.

The guard newsletter will also have information for returning members to order guard uniform replacement parts, if needed. (We will be using the black leggings, jaguar sports bra, and jaguar tank again!)

Interested in helping to install and remove flags 5 times a year? This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who needs flexibility. Our goal is to provide volunteers with a route that will take around an hour (10-15 flags), and once you are familiar with your route, it will be faster. Staying Informed! The Jaguar Band strives to keep everyone informed about our events and increase the opportunity to answer questions and create conversations with our community. This year, you will be able to find out information not only in our Newsletter and on our Band Calendar, but we will also be sharing them on our Johnson Band website events page and as events on our Facebook page. Our events on Facebook will be used as a primary source for updates and reminders. Don't forget to use your section GroupMe's as a quick and effective way to get your questions answered!

Service hour logs are due April 11, 2023. There is a drop off slot in the band hall. Or they can email a digital copy to banquet@johnsonbands.com. The JHS Band Boosters have created a form for band students to track their band volunteer service hours. (Click the previous sentence to link to the form.) This form is similar to what is used by other organizations such as the NHS and puts control of volunteer service hours tracking in the students hands. Students should print and use this to log for all band related volunteer service hours and ensure completion of all fields including supervisor signature. Parents signatures are not accepted. Follow all details on the form to turn in the logs in the spring to be considered for Band Student Service Awards at the Band Banquet or for logging volunteer service for Letterman Jacket points. Any questions, contact banquet@johnsonbands.com or secretary@johnsonbands.com. This form should be used for all hours since the Band Banquet last spring. Multiple forms may be submitted to track all of your volunteer service.
