Principal's Message
Westwood students are RESPECTFUL π€, RESPONSIBLE π, and SAFE π·
This week: Start having conversations with your student(s) about what it means to be RESPONSIBLE π while taking a test π.
Here are some point to talk about:
- I can be responsible while taking a test by trying my hardest πͺ
- I can be responsible while taking a test by reading my questions more than once π§
- I can be responsible while taking a test by checking my answers carefully β
- I can be responsible while taking a test by asking questions if I don't understand directions ππ»ββοΈ
Thank you for having these conversations with your student. Our tests and assessments are one of the best ways for us to understand where your student is at and what else they might need help with.
Thank you for supporting OUR student(s). Together, we can help to guide our students into being successful citizens in the world.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Students
As a safety reminder, when picking up or dropping off your student, please use our drop-off loop (the staff parking lot is not for student drop-off) and pull as far forward as possible when in line with your vehicle. This supports a smooth drop-off and pick-up process.
π Parents should stay in their vehicles and pull up to the student drop-off zone during this time. Please do not leave a vehicle unattended in the drop-off loop at any time. If you need help, wave down a staff member and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you for doing your part to keep our students safe.
Additionally, please be sure that your students have the proper car seats, booster seats, or seatbelts as required by California State Law. Let us know if you need help or resources to keep your student safe. πΊβ
