Ozark Varsity Cheer Makes History at Missouri Game Day State Championship
Ozark Varsity Cheer became back-to-back-to-back Gameday State Champions on Feb. 24! They not only took first in the Missouri Time Out Division, the Missouri Band Chant Division and Missouri Fight Song Division, but also took home the top prize as the Missouri Game Day State Champions!
The team also competed in Missouri's first stunt competition and took home first, second, third and sixth place out of 25 teams.
These wins rounded out an undefeated season for the program and was the most successful season in its history! Congrats ladies!!

4 Wrestlers Place at State Tournament
After a grueling state tournament, Ozark came home with four boys state wrestling medalists! Congrats to the following wrestlers:
- Dayton Moison: 3rd place
- Ruben Arvizu: 4th place
- Caden Harrington: 5th place
- Johnny Williams: 5th place

JV Cheer Takes Home 1st Place from Missouri Game Day Championship
A massive congrats to the Ozark Junior Varsity Cheer team for taking first place at the Missouri Game Day Classic! They also took first place Missouri JV Fight Song Division and the Missouri JV Band Chant Division. Additionally, they took third place in Missouri JV Time Out Division.
The team also competed in Missouri's first stunt competition and one of their groups took home second place in their division. Congrats to Kaylssa Bode, Zoey McKeehan, Caylee Dovidio and Maddie Rothove!

Ozark Poms Dance Team Takes 2nd at State
On Feb. 24, Ozark's Pom Dance team rounded out their 2023/24 season competing at the MDTA State Championship! The team took second place in division 5 with their kick routine. Additionally, nine members of the team were selected for all-state academic honors! Congrats on a great season ladies!!
This week, senior Ella Ferretti has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Ella is a member of Ozark Varsity Cheer and recently helped lead the team to its third consecutive Game Day State Championship, according to Head Coach Tess Keller.
"When you're approaching the weeks leading up to a competition, everyone deserves to have an Ella Ferretti on their team," Keller said. "Ella has continued to display leadership throughout this year. This week, as we prepared for our final competition of the season and the final competition of her cheerleading career, Ella was the leader this team needed. Her whole heart goes into first making sure she is fulfilling her role on our team 110 percent, and then ensuring that her teammates are doing the same. Ella has been a member of OVC for all four years of high school at OHS. We love her and are extremely proud of what she has helped our program accomplish during her journey."

This week, OHS freshman Kylan Pickren has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Kylan is a member of the boys varsity basketball team and recently led the team in scoring, according to Head Coach Mark Schweitzer.
"Kylan has had a tremendous year at the varsity level as a freshman," Schweitzer said. "He led us in scoring over our last nine games, helping us to a 6-3 record in those games."

This week, OHS junior Parker Fritz as been selected as our Artist of the Week! Parker is a culinary student and always takes an interest in learning about new foods and techniques, according to culinary teacher Chef Laurent Watts.
"Parker is always interested in learning about the different cooking methods," he said. "During our eggs block he said, 'I am always trying to get my scrambled eggs like Nana does, this technique showed me how.'"

This week, OHS senior Adam Lupton has been selected as our Tiger of the week! Adam is a member of OHS's academic team and recently helped lead the varsity team to a fourth-place finish, leading the charge as the team's top scorer and finishing second overall!

JROTC Drill Team Brings Home Multiple Trophies from Leavenworth Competition
Ozark Men's Choirs Tour Elementary School
During the tour, they talked about the joy of music, singing, and being an artist in life — no matter who you are! Music is for everyone!
JROTC Rifle Teams Host Match, Sporter Team Takes 1st
Congratulations to the JROTC Rifle Team who won numerous awards from their home meet. The Sporter team took home first place, the Precision team took home second place and two cadets received individual awards! Congrats Cadets!
