How many days do 11 month PGCPS employees get paid to work?
11 month PGCPS employees get paid for work in July If:
Don't Say We Didn't Tell You!! 210 not 211, 212, etc....
Assistant Principals - All Eleven Month Employees
Between
August 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025
As an Eleven Month Employee you are scheduled to be paid for 210 Days of Work During That Period.
There are actually 238 Week Days between the August 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, however 26 of those days, Schools and Offices Closed for Staff and Students.
That leaves 212 actual work weekdays that you can schedule your 210 days.
But Don't Forget
Any portion of any Saturday or Sunday that you are called in or expected to work for whatever reason, you are entitled to count that day as part of your 210 for the year.
If you are asked or expected to work on any of the scheduled vacation days in which schools and offices are closed for students and staff, count that day, you are entitled. Don't be fooled.
If you do not count it, you are forfeiting your own daily rate of pay. Speak up, say it loud!
If you don't That's On You!

As an Eleven Month Employee, you must work 210 Days during the work year OR submit leave when need or choose to be absent from work. Your 210 Days should include each day that school is scheduled to be in session for students, as well as those days scheduled for parent conferences and staff professional development. Otherwise, if you need or choose to be off you must submit leave.
IF YOU PLAN OR ARE ASKED TO: Cover a Weekend Game/Event, Weekend Homecoming Game, Weekend School Detention, Weekend Workshop or any school/school system activity on the weekend, those days must be included in your 210 days even if they are a couple of hours or half day. It is in your best interest to discuss such days with your supervisor and make the necessary adjustments to your calendar in writing with your supervisor/principal when the work is scheduled.
JULY IS OFF LIMITS, you are not being paid and should not expect to get paid for any days that you work in the entire month of JULY, unless you have signed documentation from H.R., authorizing you for some type of SECOND/SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT.
The calendar can be adjusted and specific agreements can be made between the supervisee and supervisor with the approval of both the supervisee and supervisor, but make sure you put any special agreements in writing, preferably electronically.
Otherwise Don't Do It!
Do Not make any agreements under duress, call the union.
