April 27, 2025

Cue the applause and the confetti—sixteen unstoppable Spring ISD seniors just secured $20,000 scholarships each during the 2025 Huntsman Scholarship Reception! Held in partnership with the Huntsman Corporation, this power-packed celebration spotlighted students blazing trails in STEM and business. This fifth year of the program marks a major milestone in our shared mission to invest in local brilliance. Superintendent Dr. Lupita Hinojosa and Huntsman Corporation CEO Peter Huntsman praised the grit, goals, and greatness of our scholars. The message: Spring ISD students are ready to take on the world! 🌎
Look out, world—Spring ISD’s Early College Academy is making their national debut at the Small School Quiz Bowl Championship, and they’re ready to bring the heat! With big smiles, packed bags, and those signature purple jackets, this crew is heading out to rep SECA and show off their smarts on a whole new level. It's their first time hitting the national stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. Let’s send them all the good vibes as they take on this amazing challenge—go SECA, you’ve got this!
Let’s hear it for Dekaney High’s Boys 4x200m Relay squad! These speedsters left it all on the track at the regional meet, clocking in a jaw-dropping first-place time of 1:24.37—and now they’re Austin bound for the UIL State Track Meet! Those medals are looking good gentlemen! This team is repping Dekaney and Spring ISD with power, passion, and pure speed. Let’s go, Wildcats—bring that heat to State! 💪💙
It was all-out excitement at Dueitt Middle School as our inflatable squad brought the hype for STAAR—and yes, there was a tug of war! 🪢 Sharks, dinos, and eagles, oh my! The Spring High Lady Lions have done it again—snagging their ninth straight District 14-6A title without dropping a single district game. That’s right, undefeated! At this point, we’re starting to think the trophy lives at Spring High full-time—and we’re not mad about it! 🏆 These champs brought the fire, the fun, and a whole lot of fastballs to the field.
