Brief Message From the Principal
Dear WCMS Community,
What a whirlwind this school year has been! Despite all the crazy schedules, we made it through together, demonstrating the resilience and strength of our incredible community. Many great things have been happening at WCMS. Our new Jr. Crew class has been very busy collecting donations for senior citizens, publishing programs for every home football game, mentoring elementary students in the classroom and cafeteria, and they are currently organizing a Christmas card drive to send cards to troops stationed overseas this holiday season. The WCMS Pack News works diligently to interview teachers and students to publish the Weekly Howl episodes and provide weekly campus updates. The athletic program has already accomplished great things and our athletes continue to work hard at every practice to prepare for each opponent that comes their way. Lastly, the WCMS Student Council is off to a great start while they organize fun events and activities for all students sixth through eighth grade, including last week's Red Ribbon Week activities.
A continued focus for us is attendance. Your partnership in maintaining a routine of regular school attendance is crucial. Our instructional time is invaluable, and we need your help in minimizing interruptions by ensuring students are well-prepared and present at school every day.
The WCMS Community is MIGHTY, and I am so incredibly honored to be part of it alongside each one of you. Our staff continue to make a difference for every student every day by building character, holding high expectations, and identifying positive affirmations. Here’s to a exciting year filled with learning, fun, and connection!

November Character Trait of the Month: Generosity Making Someone's Day By Giving Something Away
Generosity is not always about money— it can be about time, talent, or energy - but it should cost
you something. Generosity isn’t about you feeling good - although you might. It can be done in secret, with no accolades. Furthermore, it isn’t about saving someone, it is simply about making their day. The perfect match for your generosity is the person who most needs what you have to give. Who should you be generous toward? How can you look around to find the best recipient for your generosity? If we hope to have a school where people treat each other right and make smart decisions, how does our level of generosity impact the culture and behaviors within our building? By being generous, we can start a chain reaction of kindness, compassion, and positive culture.
"He who gives only what he would as readily throw
away gives without generosity; for the essence of
generosity is in self-sacrifice."
— (SIR) HENRY TAYLOR

TSL Initiative
Hi WCISD Families,
We invite you to take the survey linked below by November 8th.
This survey is part of our ongoing partnership with Region 10 and The Texas Education Agency on the Texas Strategic Leadership initiative.
What is Texas Strategic Leadership?
Wolfe City ISD is participating in a program called Texas Strategic Leadership, facilitated by Region 10 and the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This initiative aims to refine and develop strategic plans for school districts across Texas. In the first year, the focus is on establishing the mission and vision for WCISD, as well as creating common goals and actionable steps to achieve them. These surveys will help our team and Region 10 identify our strengths and areas for growth, providing a clearer picture of where the district currently stands, which in turn enhances the strategic plan being developed.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with our team and Region 10.
