Blevins Bulletin
December 8th , 2023

February 28th 2025 Principal's Message
Hello Blevins Families,
We've concluded another great week at Blevins, which included a preview of spring weather. It's hard to believe that we are now just two weeks away from spring break, which brings planning for the year ahead. Our 6th and 7th grade students have completed their registration for electives, as well as our 8th graders who our preparing for high school. As always, please reach out to your child's counselor should you have any questions.
But in the meantime, there is so much to celebrate now and plenty of great times ahead in this school year. I'd like to give a shout out to our wrestling team and girls' basketball teams. We had a strong showing against Wellington wrestling yesterday. We've also seen our girls' basketball teams continue their growth in recent games against Cache la Poudre and Lincoln. I'm proud of our athletes and how they represent what it means to be a Bruin.
Thanks for joining us for student-led conferences last week! Please consider taking a few minutes to provide feedback regarding that event. https://forms.gle/BAwNVu8TsMyiDEMXA
And thanks for your continued partnership. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Proudly,
Joe Zappa, Principal

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BRUIN MATH COUNTS TEAM
On a sunny, springlike Saturday last week, the Math Counts team of Theo Verbsky, Theo Urpsis, Colin Bowman, James Watz, and Holden Glover went to the University of Northern Colorado and competed in the Math Counts competition for all schools in northern Colorado. Using their razor-sharp analysis skills, combined with some out-of-the-box thinking, they tackled a wide array of challenging word problems. The team performed very well, and Theo Verbsky won a ribbon for being the highest scorer on the Blevins team. Congratulations to the entire team for doing such a fine job in the competition!
BLEVINS MADNESS- SAVE THE DATE!!
A MESSAGE FROM PTO & REQUEST
Hello Blevin’s Family-
Hope everyone has been enjoying the warm weather! Looks like it might be changing next week so get out this weekend and soak up some rays! The Greenhouse class sent us the beautiful Thank You note below for the grant that helped them get started with some "seed money." We wanted to make sure to share it with all of you. It's thanks to your generous donations that the PTO is able to support amazing student opportunities like this one!
Also, it is that time of year when teachers are starting to run low on supplies. We are excited to help them out with a Spring Supply Drive! Below, you'll find a list of the most commonly needed items, along with a link to our fundraising site if you prefer to make a monetary donation. We will use these funds to purchase any additional “one-off” items that may be needed. Please drop off all packaged supplies at the front office by Spring Break.
· Kleenex Tissues
· Writing Utensils – i.e. Pencils, Pens, Highlighters, Expo Markers, etc.
· Snacks – i.e. Granola bars, Jolly Ranchers, Lifesavers/mints, etc.
Thank you as always for all you do to help make Blevins a great place to learn and grow!!
Sincerely,
Shauna Moffatt
PTO President
