FROM THE PRINCIPALS
Greetings CMIT-South Families,
As we wrap up the third week of school, we are excited to share the wonderful start we've had! Our students have been settling into their routines, engaging in learning, and building connections with their teachers and peers. We are looking forward to an eventful week ahead filled with opportunities for parents, students, and staff to come together.
Additionally, we want to provide a few reminders of our school policies that ensure the orderly operation of our building and the safety of all staff and students. Adhering to arrival and dismissal procedures, hallway expectations, and school-wide safety protocols helps create a secure and productive environment for everyone.
Uniform Policy: CMIT South is a mandatory uniform school. Students are expected to wear the identified uniform on a daily basis, inclusive of PE/Gym uniforms. Solid black shorts/joggers are NOT permitted.
Cell Phone Policy: Students are expected to store their cell phones in their lockers. If a cell phone is confiscated, a parent will be required to schedule a time to pick it up.
Dismissal Policy: Parents are not allowed to drive down the tow-truck alley to pick up students. Parents are not allowed to utilize the back entrance as that is dedicated to our approved van providers. Students are not allowed to walk away from the school to meet their rides, including the front entrance, exit area, or tow-truck alley. Please follow the direction of the CMIT South Staff at all times to ensure a safe and orderly dismissal. Students and Parents who violate our policy will be issued consequences that are aligned to the student code of conduct as well as the parent code of conduct.
