Welcome to the Team Popjoy Book Café
Welcome to the Team Popjoy Book Café, where our second-grade chefs served up a delicious variety of books for younger “customers” to sample as seen in these photos! In this special book tasting event, Mrs. Lisa Popjoy's classroom transformed into a cozy café filled with menus listing different genres and titles, each paired with a brief “book review” prepared by our student chefs. Younger students were invited to browse the menu, get a “taste” of exciting stories, and select a few book samples placed on their plates. Some customers took their recommendations straight home, while others headed off to the library, eager to devour their next great read. It was a flavorful and fun experience celebrating literacy and second-grade leadership!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
District 103 formally recognizes its 184 certified staff members during National Teacher Appreciation Week May 5 through May 9. The district’s Parent Teacher Organization has been showing its appreciation with the theme of “Shine So Bright.” The PTO has been recognizing teachers throughout the week with lunch, treats, and other acts of kindness for their work both in and beyond the classrooms. The Board of Education also thanked its teachers at the school board meeting on May 6.
"Thank you for your dedication, passion, and the difference you make in the lives of our Wildcats every day. Your hard work and heart are truly appreciated—today and always," shared Principal Ann Hofmeier :)
Thank you to our school nurses on National School Nurse Day, May 7, when we recognize the vital role school nurses play in supporting student health, safety, and academic success.
Thank you to everyone who helps communicate the news to families on National School Communicators Day, May 9, which honors those who keep school communities informed, engaged, and connected through thoughtful and effective communication.
Register Now: Returning Students
- During registration, Sprague parents can select if they would like to be a mentor or if they would like an opportunity to be a mentee next year. The goal of our mentoring program is to foster a community where individuals can connect, share their experiences, and learn from one another. By bringing together those individuals who are willing to share their knowledge and those individuals eager to learn, we create an environment of mutual growth, support, and meaningful connections.
- Please reach out to your child's school if you have questions about registration or email
PowerSchool@d103.org. - If your family is moving and not planning to return to District 103, kindly let your child’s school office know about your plans so that we do not bother you about registration and place your child in a 2025-2026 classroom.
- The thermometer shows 509 students registered and 1,138 students unregistered.
