Sora is a free reading app. You can download the Sora app in your devices app store. The school name for your account will be New Caney ISD. Have your student sign in with their school email and password. They can then explore different books to checkout, all for free! Don't forget to log your minutes!

Your student can access Classlink at home. Students will use their normal log in and password to access their Classlink resources at home.

Reminder, you can use Family Access in Skyward to keep track of your student's grades. Canvas Grades only gives you information about individual assignments. If you want to check on your student's overall grade, you will find that information in Skyward. You can put in a Help Desk Ticket request if you need help remembering your log-in information.

The Remind app can be downloaded for both Apple and Android devices through their individual app stores. Once your account is created, you can set up how you would like to be notified. Choose between the app notices, text, and email. Remember to include email along with one other method to insure you are getting all notices.

Remind accounts are created automatically through the email used during registration. If you are Parent 1 in Skyward, find the Remind email in the account you used to register and follow the directions. If you are not Parent 1 in the Skyward system, ask your child's homeroom teacher for their join link. If you are having issues with your account, please contact myoung3@newcaneyisd.org with the name of your student and phone number you are using for Remind.
