FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEAL APPLICATIONS (From Food and Nutrition)
Although school breakfast and lunch continue to be free for all PUSD students, the California Universal Meals Program still requires districts to process applications for free and reduced-price meals. This ensures the State maximizes the portion of meal reimbursement that comes from the Federal government (USDA), and minimizes the amount paid by the State of California. Free and reduced-price meal eligibility also helps determine school site funding. Families that meet income criteria for free or reduced-price meals may qualify for other benefits, including fee reduction for PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP Exams. Apply online at MySchoolApps.com, or by completing a paper application (available in all school offices).
