Hello EACS Families,
Thank you so much for all of your support of Eagle Academy. We have met some challenges along the way, but just as I expected, we have tackled them with grace.
Please remember that we are borrowing the space at the Covenant Community Church as we have partnered with them this year. Please be mindful that they have staff, parents, and special guest who are also utilizing their parking lot. Let' continue to be Eagles as we are watchful and courteous at pick up!

October is a very important month for schools in ASD. This is the period when our school district has to report to the state of Alaska schools' student attendance for funding purposes. It is of extreme importance that all of our students come to school every day, but especially in October. Let's fill the seats so that we can get credit for all of our students registered in our school! Thank you kindly for your support!

Our staff is dedicated to ensure student preparedness and safety. We will perform safety drills at school to aid in preparing students to remain calm, know where to go, and how to help others during an emergency. This is an ongoing process throughout the year. September is the month that reminds all of us to begin to practice at school and even at home. Practice makes us prepared!

I hope your child is excited about and feels prepared to participate in the Lake Beach Jamboree Run that will be September 17 at Chugiak High School. Please take any photos of your child and send them to me, mills_lynn@asdk12.org, to show in our parent newsletters for school morale and school spirit!
Looking ahead. We are hoping to find a handful of parents who would like to earn school service hours by sponsoring an after school activity next fall. After School Activities (ASA) will start approximately mid-late September and run through the first week of December (12 weeks) and are typically one day a week for an hour of instructional time. Parents who lead an activity will be able to help fulfill their annual school service required of 16 hours.
If you have a special skill, talent, or hobby that you would be willing to share with students please contact the front office.
