- Black History Month Shout Out - A special shout out to Kailyn Adenaike for "getting the in game" and working with teachers and administration to share her family (and grandmom's journey) with us on Friday's I & E to make a meaningful connection as we recognized Black History month. She provided information and highlighted contributions of African Americans who are not as recognizable or referenced in history books as well to remind us all that Black History is American History. She did this while tying it into the work we are doing at Holicong and shared at our presentations last week, as everyone she referenced certainly had to combat with social pressures, conflict resolution, decision-making, and inclusion...and on a much bigger scale! We hope that this work made an impact on our students & staff!
- Next Step Donation - On Friday Holicong was proud to donate a check for over $2,000 to the Next Step as part of our fundraising campaign and partnership with this local organization whose goal is to provide housing and employment opportunities to adults with special needs. A special thanks to Mrs. Keyes and the Humanitarians of Holicong for their work to make this happen!
- Book Drive - Please don't forget to brig in your book donations to support the book drive for the Doylestown Library Summer reading program! Deadline is Monday!
- Parent Council - Please see the Parent Council presentation here - Parent Resources / Parent Council 2024-2025.
- MATH COUNTS - The Bucks County Math Counts Competition was held this weekend and a SHOUT OUT to all of the team members & advisors as the team placed 2nd in all of Bucks County! It was a team competition but another shout out to Ayden, Nandhika, and Andrew for placing in the Top 10 and Ayden qualifying for the state competition! Thank you for representing yourselves & Holicong!
- Valentines Day Flowers - A reminder that the Garden Club will be holding their flower sale on Monday and Tuesday with all proceeds benefiting the Next Step fundraiser.

Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) (pa.gov) – Link to application and resources to learn more about this program.
COLONIAL CORES & EXPECTATIONS – It was a great first week with students as we reviewed basic overview of expectations, policies, and procedures and following up this week as noted above. We have created the Colonial Core page on our website for our community to access the overview of the Colonial Cores and what we teach and the expectations we have for students and all of us in a variety of settings. We will continue to model and revisit these throughout the year!

Join Us for "Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition" on March 25 at Lenape
Are you watching kids become too accustomed to using technology at too young an age? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw this happening with her kids and wondered about the impact and the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time. The result is "Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition."
On Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in the Lenape Middle School auditorium, parents, guardians, and caregivers are invited to a screening of the film, which will kick off a CBSD series on digital wellness. "Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition" is a version of the original "Screenagers" movie and addresses issues that elementary school aged kids, parents and educators are facing, such as smartwatches in class, unhooking from and monitoring video gaming, social media pressures, exposure too young, and what research shows is a healthy amount of screen time. Solutions are also offered.
No pre-registration is required. This event is for parents, guardians and caregivers only. There will be no child care available.
