As we rapidly approach the new school year with Remote Learning as our opening model, we are continuing to refine student daily schedules. Below we have outlined what you can expect your child’s schedule to include:

• Daily schedule

• Attendance taken daily

• Morning start with classroom teacher

• Lunch/Recess

• Afternoon electives, assignments, individual student scheduled times

Again, this is a snapshot of what a day/week will include, with more details to follow as teachers come back for the year and begin to work on the details of daily schedules. The morning will be scheduled with direct instruction with teachers and classmates. The afternoon is scheduled more flexibly so families can do independent work when it works for you, or connect with teachers and classmates if it works in your schedule.

8:30 - 12:00 (There will be breaks scheduled for students throughout this time.)

Morning Meeting, Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Social-Emotional Learning lessons - mixture of whole group, small group and independent work. (This is the bulk of the live, online, sychronous lesson time.)

12:00-1:00

Lunch and Recess

1:00-3:15

Independent work (asynchronous) for:
- English Language Arts - use of Lexia or other teacher assignments

- Math - use of Dreambox or other teacher assignments

Also, some small group work and electives.

Teachers will also have small group instruction/office hours to talk with parents, lead small groups, student support, etc.

If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete the Colrain Student Technology Survey that was emailed out earlier this week. (Please let me know if you need me to resend it to you.) I know you may have already given some of this information before, but it is critical that we have the most updated, accurate information as possible as we prepare for remote learning. You only need to fill it out once per family, so if you have already done it, no need to do it again. The survey will be opened until Sunday night. Thank you so much!
