• CELEBRATE HOLICONG DAY - We have pictures from Holicong Day below! A special shout out to our NJHS officers and our Student Leadership Team for planning an amazing day of activities and pep rally to officially close out 2024-2025!

• PROGRAM PLANNING - We officially started this process last Friday with our 9th grade program planning assembly. We will begin the process for our 7th & 8th grade students in the coming weeks. Please continue to check out announcements & the grade level pages below for updates and links!

• WINTER ARTS & CHOIR CONCERT! Please join us this Wednesday for our annual winter arts & choir concert! This is an opportunity for students to "show off" the work they have done from the 1st semester in their specials courses and close out the night with special concert!

• FLEXIBLE INSTRUCTION DAYS (FID) - Flexible Instructional Day (FID) / Home - Now that we have had our 1st snow day of the year all futures snow days will be in this format. Please take a moment to review as a family!

• HOLICONG HUDDLE - Please see here for our recap from the fall season at Holicong. A shout out to all of our student-athletes for representing us on and off the field, our parents for supporting our programs, and our coaches for putting in many hours of time to lead these programs!

• COLONIAL CORES & EXPECTATIONS – It was a great first week with students as we reviewed basic overview of expectations, policies, and procedures and following up this week as noted above. We have created the Colonial Core page on our website for our community to access the overview of the Colonial Cores and what we teach and the expectations we have for students and all of us in a variety of settings. We will continue to model and revisit these throughout the year!

Student Services Department / 9th to 10th Grade Program Planning

• All 9th Grade Cooking students participated in a Holiday Cookie Exchange with each Kitchen Group making a different cookie and sharing with the class. The aroma of freshly baked cookies was noticed by all walking the halls.
• We hosted the official program planning kickoff assembly last Friday! Please check the email sent out on Friday with detailed program planning information and check the program planning page above for resources.

Having finished the book, The Outsiders, this week the students will watch the movie version. They will get to see all their favorite characters and scenes on the big screen in the auditorium!

Team 7-2's most recent round of Games resulted in Team Lock's first win of the school year! Students played an intense game of "Sharks and Minnows" in the Main Gym. Once one shark was determined for each team, the minnows tried valiantly to run successfully across the gym. If tagged, students became seaweed and were not allowed to move from the space they were tagged, but could still move their arms to tag minnows. Team Hilbert is still holding down first place, but Team Barno is close behind!

In Team 7-0's latest team competition for the Victory Cup, Mrs. Rickert's I&E vanquished the other classes in several intense rounds of Bingo. Mrs. Dufresne's I&E and Ms. Ambrosini's I&E tied for second place with Mr. Willard's I&E taking third. All classes have now placed and earned points on the leader board. We are looking forward to a new round of competitions in 2025!

A Reminder About Procedures in Case of School Schedule Change

CBSD families are reminded of district procedures should winter weather impact the school day schedule. You can find all related information on this webpage. If school buildings need to close or operate on a modified schedule due to present or pending weather conditions or any other emergency, the district will endeavor to communicate the schedule change to families as soon as possible. Please note that this year, CBSD will be utilizing Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs) should school need to close after the first use of a traditional snow day. You can learn more about the procedures for FIDs here.
