Reading Rams is an opportunity to read a book of choice. Each day we conclude the day with a time of independent reading. Grades K-2 typically have someone come into the classroom to read with the class. We have a school competition brewing between K-2 v 3-5 to see which group can read the most books this 9 weeks. We hope that you will encourage your child to find a book of interest and to use "Reading Rams" as an opportunity to read. Also, we hope that you will find time several evenings each week to read with your child.

A big shoutout to two of our students for their excellent bus behavior. Aubri Chapman and Alex Perry were modeling safe bus behavior last week. We celebrate and say thank you to both of them for modeling excellent behavior.

· The enrollment process for C4K is separate from Morning LEAPs. We have four steps:

1. Parents complete this interest form via Brightwheel, Open House, Digital School Newsletter, or email https://forms.gle/mixxNQjeo8VfQzEB6

2. C4K staff contacts each family at the beginning of August to assess the need and see how we can best help each student. We also complete orientation and go over expectations for behavior and attendance (minimum 3 days a week until 5pm)

3. Once we determine the family would benefit from C4K, we will email the official application to be completed. The official application will be submitted digitally, which will speed up the enrollment process and prevent lost packets.

4. Once the application is approved by C4K, the parent and school will receive a notice via email with a Monday start date.

We do not accept PreK students. Kindergarten students must have an active sibling attending or an extreme need
