Hotspot Information, Repair Information, and Billing Problems This document is in the process of being updated!!!!!
Verizon has changed their policy. WE NO LONGER HAVE FREE DEVICES. YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES.
THE FIRST DEVICE IS WHAT WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE FOR FREE. THEY ARE NOW $100. VERIZON SELLS THEM FOR $199. THE SECOND CHOICE IS $32. VERIZON SELLS THEM FOR $79.99. The $100 device is touchscreen. The $32 device is not, but works well. After you place your order for the monthly service, you will bring cash (correct amount) when you come pick up the device. We will write you a receipt at that time. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE A GOOD EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR ORDER. MRS. RUSHING WILL EMAIL AND CALL YOU TO VERIFY EVERYTHING WITH YOU!!!
IF YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT DEVICE, YOU WILL NEED TO PICK ONE OF THESE AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE DEVICE. PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL MRS. RUSHING. IF YOUR BATTERY IS THE PROBLEM, WE MAY HAVE OTHER SOLUTIONS THAT WOULD COST LESS.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are extremely busy with our normal technology needs at school but recognize that many parents are needing additional devices or replacement devices. We will set up a more professional payment system as soon as possible.

For student’s email, just enter their name and grade level.
PLEASE use PayPal or set up a Paypal account when you finish paying for the hotspot. If you don’t, you will not be able to change your credit card information or expiration date on your card. We cannot see your information and will not be able to help you.

If you are having trouble with your C-CISD Verizon Hotspot, do not call Verizon. Please call Kathy at 936-398-2341 ext 8004. Kathy’s email is krushing @ccisdtx.com. You may also email technology @ccisdtx.com.
Dear Corrigan-Camden Parents and/ or Guardians:
C-CISD offers our parents and teachers Verizon Hotspots with no contract and no visit to the Verizon store. The monthly cost is $50. There is a one time charge for the Hotspot, but there is no activation fee and no cancellation fee. You may cancel at any time. Our original Hotspots were totally unlimited. These are no longer available. We are now able to offer “limited” unlimited data hotspots. Verizon could throttle the device when more than 25 GB is used each month if the tower that you are accessing is “busy”. The Hotspot can connect multiple devices. Parents who have the newer data plan have reported no problems.
The initial payment is $50 plus the cost of the hotspot. You will pay $50 each month using PayPal, an online payment system. Parents may order multiple devices. Devices usually arrive within a few days. Parents must pick up the device at the Elementary School and sign the official permission forms. Verizon cannot filter these devices. It is the parent’s responsibility to use OpenDNS to filter the Hotspot. We can help you set filtering up. The Hotspot is the property of the Parent and is under their control. Students may not bring Hotspots to school!
If your device has a problem, the parent will email technology@ccisdtx.com. We will call Verizon. (You cannot call Verizon for service due to Verizon policy and CCISD policy ). If you no longer want the device, just call 936-398-2341 extension 8004 or email technology@ccisdtx.com.
Payments will occur automatically each month using PayPal. Your account will be suspended if your payment skips. You will receive emails from PayPal when a payment is made or skipped. Paypal automatically charges you again in five days. We have no control over your PayPal account.
To place your order, please go to our school’s website, ccisdtx.com. Click on Parents where you will see the Hotspot Order Form. Fill out the information and make a payment using PayPal. You may use a credit or debit card, but you MUST then set up a PayPal account. This will automatically pay the school each month. We will order your Hotspot and email or call you when your device arrives.

More Hotspot Information
Billing Problems
If you have multiple devices, please tell us the phone number associated with the device. If your card information has changed or you have a new card, please go to PayPal and login. You will have the option to update your account.
If you did not setup a PayPal account, you will have to create a brand new account. Email us to inform us about the problem. If a device is more than 5 days late, it will have skipped in PayPal twice. Your device will be temporarily suspended until payment is received. PayPal will attempt payment one more time ten days after it was initially due. If the payment skips, PayPal will terminate the transaction totally. We have no control over it. At that point, you will have to set up a new account. Once payment is received, your device will be turned on again.
Again, we cannot access your credit cards or debit cards. We cannot login to your PayPal account. PayPal and CCISD both send out emails informing you about missed payments.
Problems with Device or Service
Under no circumstances can you call Verizon or take the hotspot into a Verizon store. Our agreement with Verizon does not allow this due to our exceptional pricing.
