SISD students recently participated in the VASE Art Competition, and 23 out of 27 pieces medaled with a score of a 4, the highest rating!

Congratulations to Olivia Butler, Brooke Davidson, Jenna Echiegile, Jadyn Flowers, Izaiah Foreman , Sara John, Nitsa Joseph, Diya Mukundan, Faith Olick, Olivia Ostry , Vi Petty, Sophia Radighieri, Jonathan Varghese, Leah Williams, Mya Wilson , and Elle Wilson !

Additionally, Olivia Butler , Sara John , and Jonathan Varghese will be competing at State!

Fifth grade SIS students delve into the chicken life cycle thanks to a grant from the Sunnyvale Education Foundation, Ms.Rinestine and her partnership with the Jr FFA and Dr. Stovall. Chicks will be sold at the Jr. FFA's 2nd Annual Farmer's Market on March 13.

Students at SIS are building hot air balloons in Dr. Stovall's 5th grade class. Through this project they not only are learning about the history of the hot air balloon, but they also are applying cross-curricular skills. Students are learning to read procedural texts, sequence steps in a process. Additionally, they are applying math skills in measurement, data collection and analysis. Students will soon test out their balloons and experience a real hot air balloon.

Sunnyvale High School is excited to invite local businesses and professionals to participate in our upcoming Career Fair, Monday, March 10th from 9am-12pm! This is a unique opportunity for our community businesses to connect with the next generation of talent, share industry insights, and help students prepare for their future careers.

Business partners who wish to participate can get involved in 2 ways. 1- You can host a career booth to showcase your industry OR (2) You can volunteer as a mock interviewee to help students refine their resume and professional skills. Some business/organizations may choose to get involved in both ways!
