DCMS 2021-22 WELCOME BACK!!
Every Single Student Matters...They Are WHY WE EXIST
Many Lessons Learned
We've learned so much over the last 18 months and in education we've learned that there are more effective and innovative ways to teach and learn. While we are all so ready to "get back to normal", we've learned many lessons that we don't want to go away. We've reconfirmed that education does not have to be the "one size fits all" factory model that we have utilized so often in the past. So although we hope this year will feel much more normal than last, there are many lessons learned that we will be implementing and don't want to forget.
Several things are more certain than ever - over the last 18 months I have personally reconfirmed that it is essential we remain flexible, adaptable, fluid and have the ability to problem solve and think critically in an ever-changing and dynamic environment. There is no use in worrying about what may come our way - we will adapt and respond accordingly.
No matter what curveballs are thrown our way this upcoming school year, we will stay committed to high levels of learning knowing our relationships must always come first. High levels of learning cannot happen if students' needs and sense of security are not met first which means our relationships with our students will still be more important than ever.
WE THANK YOU for your continued support and your flexibility during these continued uncertain times and we simply CANNOT WAIT to reconnect with our students - serving them is why we exist!
