Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’re kicking off the month with lots of exciting learning opportunities for our students! This month, we’ll be working on strengthening reading, writing, and math skills with hands-on activities that make learning fun. Our classroom will also be buzzing with Valentine’s Day activities focused on spreading kindness and celebrating friendship. It’s the perfect time to remind our kids about the importance of caring for others.

Don’t forget to check the important dates below for upcoming events this month. We have some special activities planned, and we’re excited to see everyone get involved! As always, thank you for your ongoing support in helping our students thrive – it truly makes a difference.

• All transportation changes MUST be made in writing. We will not be taking phone call changes. This is for the safety of our students. If there is an emergency, you can email the front office at: westernfrontoffice@cowetaschools.net before 1:00. We will call to verify and let the teacher know. If we do not reply or call to verify, you will know we did not get the message. At times, we lose internet access

5/5-5/9-Teacher Appreciation Week

16th- prek, 2nd, 1st grade awards programs

21st-Field Day (parents are invited)

22nd-PBIS Water Day (for students who earned this)/5th Grade Fun Day

Please remember meals will no longer be free for the 2024-2025 school year. I will share the August menus when I get them. They are not available at this time. You WILL need to complete the free and reduced lunch application if you wish to apply to receive these meals at no charge. You only need to complete one application per family :)
