Stay following the performance for an evening of music, student art, and sips and bites in celebration of WCEF's 40th anniversary from some of Walnut Creek's best restaurants. Tickets and more information can be found at wcefk12.org/events or here. Children are free with a paying adult, and proceeds from the event support music programs and classes in eight public schools for 5,000 students.
Report Cards
Trimester 2 report cards will be available for you to view on Friday, March 15th. Report cards can be accessed electronically in the Parent Portal. Please take a moment to review the instruction link below.
As we navigate through our daily drop-off and pick-up routines, it's crucial that we prioritize safety and kindness on the streets surrounding our school. Our crossing guard plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of our children as they cross the road, and it's imperative that we show them the respect and appreciation they deserve. This also helps reinforce to our students the kindness and respect all members of our community deserve.
Here are a few friendly reminders to help make our streets safer and our interactions with our crossing guard more positive:
Be Patient and Courteous: Please be patient and courteous when waiting at the crosswalk. Remember, our crossing guard is there to assist both pedestrians and drivers, so please follow her instructions promptly and respectfully.
Follow Traffic Laws: Obey all traffic laws and posted signs, including speed limits, no parking zones, and keeping the crosswalk clear. These rules are in place to keep everyone safe, especially our children.
Use Crosswalks: Remember to always use designated crosswalks when crossing the street. It sets a good example for our children to follow, and it helps ensure their safety.
Express Gratitude: Take a moment to express gratitude to our crossing guard. A simple "thank you" goes a long way in showing appreciation for their hard work and dedication to keeping our children safe.
By working together and adhering to these guidelines, we can create a safer environment for everyone in our school community. Let's lead by example and demonstrate kindness and respect toward our crossing guard and fellow parents.
Wishing a Happy New Year to our families who will be celebrating Nowruz.
