PAC September 2024 Newsletter
Qualters Middle School Parent Advisory Council
Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Welcome to the September 2024 edition of the QMS PAC Newsletter! We wish all students, faculty, and staff a warm welcome back to the classroom and a very successful year ahead!
PAC is looking for a volunteer to assist with our communications. This includes drafting and distribution of our Newsletters and maintaining our Google website. No prior experience is necessary. If you are interested, join us at our upcoming meeting tomorrow, September 12th or contact a member of the Board.
Fall Frolic - 2nd Annual Comedy Fundraiser
Planning for our 2nd Annual Fall Frolic - an 18+ Comedy Fundraiser is underway! The event will once again be held at the Mansfield Elks! Date and time TBD.
A special thanks to the Mansfield Elks for donating the space for us to hold this critical fundraising event! The funds raised at the Fall Frolic are critical and enable PAC to provide several of the programs and services to our students throughout the year. Stay tuned for more information on date, ticket sales, and student fundraising opportunities for the event.
PAC is also looking for raffle prize donations. If you are willing to donate a raffle basket, event tickets, gift cards, or certificates for services or are a local business willing to sponsor the event (sponsorships start at $250), please email us!
Student Drop Off Reminder
When dropping your student off at QMS, please use the parking lot next to QMS (to the left of the building when you're looking at the school from East St.). When you drop your student off, please pull up to Door T (where students being dropped off should enter). If you can pull all the way up to that door then it will avoid a traffic jam at the entrance to the parking lot - Administration thanks for your help on this!
Keep in mind that students cannot access the building until 7 am.
Student Assistance is Available
As a reminder, there is a variety of assistance available for our students. If your child needs school supplies, financial assistance for field trips or extra-curricular activities, or additional nutritional resources, please contact your school principal or use this LINK for contact information.
Monthly Dining for Dollars ~ Rush Bowls
September 17th 5 - 7 PM at Rush Bowls! Stop by ning for Dollars is a restaurant fundraiser where families eat (or take out) at a restaurant on a particular day and the restaurant donates back a set percentage of sales to QMS PAC. These fundraisers are a win-win! You, your friends, family, and other PAC supporters get a chance to enjoy a delicious meal while raising funds for our students.
Mansfield Public Schools Has An App!
Mansfield Public Schools has launched a new mobile app to help students, staff, parents/ guardians, and community members know what is happening in our schools directly from your smartphone. You can read the latest announcements, view bus schedules and lunch menus, locate staff contact information, review upcoming events, and find important school information.

UNFUNDRAISER
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we!
In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $10,000 each year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
