Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences: February 13th
Lincoln Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner. As we look forward to connecting with parents at that evening’s event, it is necessary to provide a quick note as these are different from the fall conferences.
Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences are set for the afternoon-early evening of Thursday, February 13th. These conferences are scheduled at the request of the teacher as the single night does not allow for us to meet with all parents. Communication should have been sent if you/your student was identified for a conference.
There are limited times available should you feel the need for a conference despite one not being requested. We encourage parents to be in contact with their child’s teachers throughout the year, and if there is a question/concern you have, please feel free to reach out to the teacher directly.
Again, while a conference for your student may not be necessary at this time, we are providing you with the link to sign up for the limited times that may be available on this evening.
NOTE: Conferences will be scheduled by team, so your child’s team leader will be the only core teacher listed when you log in. Otherwise, individual elective, intervention, and Channels of Challenge will be listed. If you do not know your child’s team lead, please contact the Lincoln main office.

8th Grade Promotion and EOY Updates - We need your help!
In addition to previously communicated updates, we want to provide the following in regard tot the 8th grade promotion dance.
The promotion dance is scheduled for Friday, May 16th from 7:00-9:00 at Lincoln. Tickets can be purchased via the PTO website and need to be purchased by May 9th.
Additionally the PTO is seeking the following info in preparation for this special night:
Slide Show Photos Needed — During the dance, there will be a slideshow playing “then and now” photos of the 8th grade class. Please note that once your photos are submitted, they cannot be changed. Please check with your student prior to submitting photos. Photo submissions are due by May 9th. When you are ready, you can submit your photos by clicking here.
Volunteers — Sign-up here.
7th Grade Parents —Traditionally, we ask 7th-grade parents to help chaperone and assist behind the scenes so that the 8th graders can enjoy their special night without their own parents watching from the sidelines. We need volunteers to help with check-in, chaperoning during the dance, and check-out.
Your support will ensure that this event runs smoothly while also giving you a sneak peek at what’s in store for next year! Thank you in advance for making this a memorable night for our soon-to-be graduates!
8th Grade Parents — We need your help to make it a special night for our students! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with decorating and setting up before the dance as well as cleaning up afterward. This is a great way to contribute without having to be at the dance itself—so your kids can enjoy their big night without parental supervision! Thank you for helping us create a wonderful send-off for the Class of 2025!
As a reminder, the Class of 2025 promotion ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27. Eighth-grade students will only be in attendance for the first half of the day. More detailed information will be provided after spring break.
D64 Communication Survey - We need your input!
We are in the process of exploring a new mass communication system for our staff and families, and we want your input! We invite you to participate in a brief survey that will help us assess and improve our communication tools and strategies.
Your feedback is invaluable in creating a more effective communication system. The survey will only take about 5-10 minutes to complete. By sharing your thoughts, you can help us enhance the connections within our schools and community. Thank you for your participation!
Registration for 2025-26 - NOW OPEN
Enrollment opened for all District 64 students on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, including kindergarteners and children returning to preschool. The registration deadline will be noon on Friday, March 14, and if you register your child and pay the fees by then, you will receive the early bird discount. You must fill out and submit registration forms by Monday, March 10, at 3:00 pm to take advantage of the fee discount. This allows our staff time to verify documents and send out invoices so you can pay them by noon on Friday, March 14. Any families who do not register by this date will receive a records release, as we assume you’re going to another district.

Your timely registration helps us tremendously as we prepare for everything that goes into a new school year. It helps us accurately plan staffing throughout the District, consider classroom arrangements, organize transportation, and get the materials needed to support your child.

The D64 Young Authors Contest is an independent, voluntary at-home project for students interested in writing and publishing their work for others to read. Here is a more detailed overview of this year's guidelines. Submissions are due by February 28th.

We are very fortunate to have a supportive and collaborative partnership with our Lincoln PTO. Throughout the year, we will be working together to provide opportunities for our families and students. If you are not a member already, please consider joining this awesome organization. You can find information on starting or renewing your membership by visiting the Lincoln PTO website.
Portal Access
All Lincoln students and parents are provided access to schedules via the PowerSchool parent and student portals. The PowerSchool Parent Portal allows you access to your student’s academic information, including student schedules and grades. To gain access to the Parent Portal, please go to ps.d64.org. If you have any questions on how to login, please contact the Lincoln Main Office for assistance (847) 318-4215.
Schoology Parent Access
Schoology will be utilized by students to help navigate their remote learning day and will include links to students’ virtual class meetings. Parents can also access students’ classes and monitor student assignments. To assist, we have created THIS VIDEO to assist in navigating this new learning platform.

Updated D64 Calendars for ‘25-26 & ‘26-27
Now that the referendum has passed, the plan is to finish construction within two years. To help with this, we have adjusted the school calendars for 2025/26 and 2026/27 to allow crews more time to work in the buildings.
School & Office Hours
School hours for student classes are from 8:05 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Please note that each Wednesday, students are dismissed at 2:10 p.m. for staff professional development activities.
Doors to the school open for students each morning at 7:58 a.m. Homeroom begins at 8:05 a.m.
School office hours are from 7:20 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Remember that our student absence line (847) 318-4215 is available 24 hours a day. Please let the Lincoln Office know as soon as possible if your child will not be in attendance. Please do not rely on e-mail notification for reporting absences as it may not be seen until later in the day.
