What is Back to School Blast?
Our mission is to provide items and services to equip families with what they need for a positive and successful school year. Each year we hold a Back to School Blast event where we hand out free backpacks, school supplies, shoes, socks, haircuts, eye exams, and more! The event is open to any Pre-K thru 12th Grade student regardless of the school district he/she attends.

MFES Parent Survey
Thank you for taking time to provide feedback to our staff about your family's experience at Marble Falls Elementary!
Ways to Get Involved
There are many ways for parents and families to get involved at Marble Falls Elementary! Depending on your interest and availability, we would love to partner with you! See below for some of our ways to get involved.
Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO)
MFES has an amazing PTO! These volunteers help raise funds that help enrich the lives of our students and staff. PTO meets approximately once a month and helps organize fundraisers, helps organize fun family engagement events like Trunk or Treat and Spring Fling, and provide enrichment, supplies, and appreciation/recognition for students and staff!
Campus Educational Improvement Committee (CEIC)
MFES has an active CEIC that takes the Board and District vision paired with our campus needs to develop and review a Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) each year. This group is made up of parents, teachers, and community members. The CEIC meets 4 times per year to review progress towards goals and look forward for growth and improvement for the following school year.
Education Connection / Reading Buddies
MFES has an outstanding core of volunteers consisting of parents, community members, and retired staff that give up an hour or two a week to read to students. This program is a tremendous blessing to our students, but all of our volunteers would also tell you that it is a bright spot in the adult's week as well! Education Connection helps with scheduling, training, books, and all!
Parents on Patrol
MFES and MFISD have been ahead of the game when it comes to campus safety and security. One popular program that we're bringing back this year is Parents on Patrol! This is an opportunity for parents to volunteer as much or as little time as they have available to help monitor campus safety. From perimeter checks, door checks, and just being eyes and a visible presence, Parents on Patrol help add just one more layer of safety and piece of mind to our students, families, and staff.
Other
If none of these structured programs are of interest to you or work with your schedule, we would love to see you at other campus events throughout the year. Here are some opportunities to connect with the campus throughout the school year:
- Meet the Teacher
- Open House
- Grandparents Day
- Parents in PE
- Trunk or Treat
- Thanksgiving Lunch
- Donuts with Grownups
- Spring Fling
- Picnic with Parents
STAAR Results
Parents of students in grades 3-5,
Your child took the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) earlier this spring, and your child’s results are now available for you to view. The state assessment is one of many ways to measure student learning. Teachers will use STAAR results along with other information to support your child’s learning in the new school year.
Beginning June 14 for STAAR grades 3–8 assessments, you will be able to access your child’s STAAR results by logging into Skyward Family Access. After logging in, you will see an icon labeled Texas Assessments. This will take you directly to your child’s STAAR results, which will include detailed information for each test question, identifying your child’s strengths as well as areas where your child may need additional support. Families have shared that seeing which questions their child got right and wrong has been the most useful. You will also see easy-to-use resources to help your child focus on the skills they most need help with and can work on at home.
