District News!
RVCSD Achieves Top Graduation Rate in the County! 🎉
I am thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news with you all! The state report card for the 2022-23 academic year has just been released, and I am delighted to announce that Rondout Valley High School has achieved the highest graduation rate in the county, standing proudly at an impressive 95%!
Rondout Valley Central School District celebrated a jump in year-to-year graduation rates from 2022 to 2023, according to the NYS Education Department. Rondout is one of three districts in the Ulster BOCES region to see an increased graduation rate, while four schools in the region saw year-to-year decreases. Rondout Valley ranked #1 for the highest graduation rate out of the eight local public schools in the region, with 95%. In comparison, the state average graduation rate was 86% for August 2023.
These numbers are a testament to the hard work of our teachers and staff, and we are very proud of our students’ success. This remarkable achievement reflects our collective dedication to student success and excellence in education. Let's celebrate this milestone together! Bravo, Gander Nation!

It's a quick nine-question questionnaire available on your Infinite Campus Student or Parent Portal.
Your responses will:

Stitching History: US History Students Weave Through FDR's Legacy!
Our US History & Government students delved into the depths of the FDR Presidential Library and Museum on April 24th, immersing themselves in a captivating exploration of the New Deal and WWII. With over 17 million pages of primary source documents at their fingertips, they unraveled the tales of President and Mrs. Roosevelt, navigating through the turbulent waters of the Great Depression and World War II. Through workshops and hands-on experiences, students honed their skills in archival research, critical analysis, and debate, unearthing the essence of a transformative era. A heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Soi, Ms. Litchfield, Ms. Slauson, and Ms. Cincotta, for guiding our US history students on this enlightening expedition!

Senior Trip! 🎢
43 seniors embarked on an unforgettable adventure, immersing themselves in the rich history and excitement of Boston. From the bustling stalls of Quincy Market to the serene waters of the Charles River, they experienced the city by land and sea. Guided by knowledgeable tour guides, they quacked along on a Duck Boat tour, taking in the iconic landmarks with curiosity and fascination. As day turned to night, they indulged in a delicious dinner cruise, watching the city lights dance along the riverbanks.
But the excitement didn't end there! The trip culminated in a thrill-filled day at Six Flags New England, where screams of delight echoed through the air as seniors tackled rollercoasters and spun on rides. Memories were made, friendships strengthened, and adventures embraced on this unforgettable journey.
A huge thank you our senior class advisors Ms. Balestra, Ms. Hawryluk & Ms. Jarvis for making this trip possible! And a special thank you to Ms. Nolan for also chaperoning the trip. Here's to the Class of 2024, leaving their mark on history and creating moments to cherish for a lifetime! Go Ganders!
