Click the link below to access and print the calendar for the month of MAY. As a family try to do as many of the boxes as you can during the entire month of May! You will see that many of the activities are geared toward Mindfulness activities since the month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This month's activity calendar was co-created by STEAM/Technology Teacher, Ms. D'Amico and Third Grade Teacher, Ms. Jenna Madden!
April Jaguar of the Month - Student Recognition Program
As a school learning community, we are recognizing TJS jaguars who consistently demonstrate exemplary character traits, behavior, kindness, and compassion for others. Nominations are submitted throughout the entire month and at the end of the month, one jaguar from each grade level is selected and recognized. This week, Ms. Garcia announced the April Jaguars of the Month!

Madison Arbor Day Ceremony
TJS Fifth Graders wrote original Arbor Day Poems to read at this year's townwide celebration. Each student's poem was had a meaningful message about the importance of taking care of our trees. Our students presented alongside the KRS Chorus under the direction of Mrs. McEachern and CAS Band under the direction of Mrs. Adkins. Thank you to our Fifth Grade Teachers, Mrs. Niper, Ms. Kennedy, Ms. Zourzoukis, Mrs. Gambino, and Ms. Larson for helping to prepare our students with their poems.
Fifth Grade Musical...Finding Nemo
Bravo to the cast and crew of Finding Nemo! Congratulations fourth and fifth graders for your tremendous hard work to prepare for this amazing evening. Thank you to Kathryn McManus, from Spotlight Kids Company, for producing such a wonderful show.

International Night at TJS
International Night was a really nice evening celebrating the families of TJS. Thank you so much to Patricia Kupper and Gisela Ambros for organizing, and to Ms. D’Amico and Mrs. LoBrace for organizing such fun activities inspired by Around the World in 80 Days. It was so great to have so many teachers sharing the evening with us, too!
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK IS COMING
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! We cannot wait to spoil our teachers with lots of goodies each day next week. Here is a sneak peek at what the Hospitality Committee has planned. Thanks Sara Buckley and Dina Millett! Be on the lookout for emails from your class parents, as well.
DEADLINE TO SIGN UP FOR THE COLOR RUN IS TODAY!
The COLOR RUN is back! Please join us for the 2nd TJS Color Run! Cheer on the crowd as students run a loop of the perimeter of the TJS back field.
Music, snacks, drinks and swag will be provided for each runner! Registration price includes an ice cream or ice pop treat!
Runners, wear white and get ready to run through bursts of color with your classmates! We are using non-toxic color powder which is safe and easy to clean. Let's get ready to RUN, TJS!
Due to a large expected number of runners, younger siblings are invited to cheer on TJS runners, but are unable to run. You may pay cash for ice cream for siblings and spectators!
Date: Thursday, May 30 (Rain date May 31)
Time: 3:15 pm to 4:00 pm
Location: TJS backfield area
Price: $15 per child (includes ice cream or ice pop treat!)

TOMORROW IS THE 4TH GRADE CAR WASH!!
Please spread the word and come bring your car for a cleaning between 10am-12pm at the Ambulance Corp!
The 4th grade class is excited to host the very first TJS Car Wash Fundraiser at the Ambulance Corp. located on Prospect Ave. on Saturday, May 4th. The event will be from 10 am- 12 pm. The purpose is to raise money for 5th Grade special activities for the TJS Class of 2025. Please come out and support TJS and our rising 5th Graders (and get a great car wash to start your weekend!).

2024 MEF Pickleball Tournament
Registration is OPEN for the 2024 MEF Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Register individually or with a partner for a fast-paced, fundraising day of round-robin style play.
- Adults 18 and up
- Prize baskets and medals sponsored by The Spelker Real Estate Team
- Lunch offering for purchase from Harvest Bistro
- Registration cost is $65
NEW THIS YEAR is the MEF Youth Pickle & Play on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Register your kids for a fun morning of pickleball games and tournament play. Activities will be tailored by experience and age (elementary, middle, and high school). Beginners welcome!
- Ages 18 and under
- Warm up led by CrossFit 377
- Prizes and refreshments
- Registration cost is $30
- Parent/guardian must be present for kids 10 and under
