BJHS Week of June 2-6, 2025

We acknowledge and are mindful that Bidwell Jr. High School stands on lands that were originally occupied by the first people of this area, the Mechoopda, and we recognize their distinctive spiritual relationship with this land, the flora, the fauna, and the waters that run near campus. We are humbled that our campus resides upon sacred lands that since time immemorial has sustained the Mechoopda people and continues to do so today.

We are still looking for a few 6th and 7th grade families to help with decorations (think balloons and streamers!)

The PTA will be providing water for the ceremony and cookies for the reception.

8th Grade Promotion Privileges

8th Grade Families, please remember that any suspendable offense committed between now and June 5 will trigger a loss of Promotion Ceremony privileges, including the dance immediately following it. Many problems start off with “messing around” before taking an unexpected turn for the worse, leading to a more-serious offense—and consequence. Other, harassment-type offenses are usually the related to a student trying to impress friends at the expense of another student’s feelings. Please continue to check in with your students if you know they have a tendency towards either of these behaviors. We want everyone to be able to walk across the stage!

The Addams Family Musical Performance

Your Bidwell Team is excited to announce the performance of our first musical: The Addams Family! Our students have been working diligently with Mr. Fred Stuart and his team in preparation for this exciting event. SHOWTIME is 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3 at the Center for the Arts (CFA) on the Pleasant Valley High School campus.

For cast and crew, final rehearsal will be on Monday, June 2, at the CFA. Students need to arrive at 4:00 PM and the rehearsal will conclude by 6:45 PM. We will have programs and posters printed soon as well. We are excited to start this new traditional of musical theater here at Bidwell Junior!

Remember to check the lost & found

Please direct your student to check the lost in found in the MPR for large items and check the lost and found in the Main Office for small/high value items before school it out! We still have lost items from last school year!

We will have a table outside on Tuesday 6/3 - Thursday 6/5 for students to come by and check for their lost items.

2024-2025 Yearbooks - On sale now for $50

Yearbooks were distributed on Friday 5/30 to 1st period classes. If your student was absent or did not receive the yearbook they purchased, they can pick it up from Mr. Riggs in Room 308 or in the Student Store in Room 406A this week.

If you need to purchase a yearbook you can do so for $50 on the web store at https://bidwelljuniorstudentstore.myschoolcentral.com or in the Student Store in Room 406A. The Student Store is open during student lunches for students. Parents can check-in at the Main Office during the school day to visit the Student Store.

There is a limited number of yearbooks left, so act fast if you would like to purchase one. We also have last year's yearbook for sale at only $20.
