Hello Davis Drive Elementary families,

I hope everyone is enjoying your 3 day weekend. Remember that students do not have school on Monday for observance of Veterans Day.

I wanted to clarify when attendance is taken. Teachers take attendance when the bell rings at 7:45 and if the student is not in the classroom at that time that , then they are tardy. If students arrive to carpool at 7:44, 99% of our students will be unable to make it to class by 7:45. That is why staff go into the building at 7:44, so that gives you a visual that you will need to come sign your child into school in the office. I do announcements right after the bell rings and instruction begins immediately. While, we have some people in the carpool line at 7:15am we usually have no one in line from 7:20-7:30, so I would aim to arrive at that time to ensure your child gets to class on time and you can easily get to work without waiting in line.

This will take place during the kids specials time.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your shift so we can get you outside at your station and do a quick overview of the station.
