Preschool Autumn Celebration
Preschool will celebrate autumn by inviting one caregiver per child during an art class with Green Meadow art teacher Taylor Vanaria from 10:05 to 10:20 am at the end of October and in early November. Please see RSVP details in an incoming email from your child's pre-k teacher soon. If this celebration conflicts with your schedule, rest assured that other opportunities to visit the classroom will be offered throughout the year. Happy fall!

District Resources
Purple Pinky Day - Thank You!
Once again the Maynard Public Schools have had an incredibly successful Purple Pinky Day drive to help eradicate Polio worldwide with the support of our three partners, Middlesex Savings Bank, the Gates Foundation, and the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley.
With a few more envelopes collected just today, this year our students and staff donated over $425.00 to this worthwhile effort and once again the Gates Foundation will be matching these donations on a 2 for 1 basis thus leveraging our districtwide contributions to more than $1,275.00.
Since it costs approximately $1.00 to vaccinate a child, this means that this year 1,275 children will be protected against Polio worldwide thanks to the Maynard Public Schools Community.
This is our third year participating in Purple Pinky Day, and the total collected over that time, including a generous contribution from Middlesex Savings Bank last year, has now exceeded $2,000.00 all of which has been matched by the Gates Foundation 2 for 1. More than 6,000 children globally have now been protected against Polio thanks to our efforts.
Our partners at Middlesex Savings Bank, who provided our Purple Pinky Day envelopes and counting services, the Gates Foundation thanks to their 2 for 1 match, and the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, the organization that coordinates all regional Purple Pinky Day activities, are all to be highly commended and thanked for their support of our activities.
Thank you Maynard!
Way to go Tigers!
