Our New Interim Principal
Stronger and Better Together!
As the Executive Director of our Wayne-Westland Middle Schools, I was able to witness the transformation and collective efficacy of Adams Middle School under the recent leadership team. Safety, responsibility, learning, and teaching was prioritized and nurtured and our students, staff, and community saw the results of a new beginning. Mr. O’Leary’s departure has left many wondering, “what next”? Will the next leader continue this valuable work and ensure Adams continues to grow, thrive, and excel? The answer is ABSOLUTELY!
We will not settle for anything less than the best for our Adams Middle School Community. We will continue to build the best administrative team possible. I will have the privilege of continuing the work our Adams students, staff, and community have begun as the interim principal at Adams MS. I have worked with the administrative team as their coach and supervisor, so I have been involved in this work every step of the way. I will remain committed and diligent in providing the consistency and stability that our Adams students and community deserve.
I truly look forward to working alongside our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Bukosky, our staff, and our “village” of family, friends, and community to ensure we have a safe, engaging, and successful school year. Go Eagles!
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” -Helen Keller.
Sincerely,
Sheri Grove

Sharing Special Moments with Our Students
Ancient Egypt
Students work together in small groups to create a map that represents the environmental barriers in Ancient Egypt.
Thematic Maps
Our 6th grade students take time to learn about the different types of thematic maps. Students learn key information in order to teach their classmates.
Preparing for the Lesson
Students are welcomed to class with the days agenda, needed materials, and "I can" learning statements. Who can forget about the calming music, and timers to keep the students accountable!
Cheer tryouts
This week Adams students participated in Cheer tryouts. We had a staggering number of students (70) who came out for the team. The Compeitive Cheer season will begin in January 2024.
Boys Basketball
This week our Boys Basketball Teams began their season! They opened this week with a season home opener against one of our rivals the Stevenson Saints. The teams then traveled to Franklin Middle School to play against the Hornets!
Perfect Attendance
Students who had perfect attendance played Plinko and won some fabulous prizes! Pictured are some of our big winners!
Winter Sports
We are entering our winter sports season here at Adams and want to make sure that all of our parents and students know the expectations when attending an event as a spectator.
All students that are eligible to attend athletic events (4 or less tardies in a week, and no suspensions) MUST have their student ID to attend home events at Adams. There are no exceptions. Students must be picked up at the conclusion of the game. Students who do not get picked up in a timely fashion (15 mins or less) will not be permitted to attend future home games.
There is no re-entry into an event.
No High School students are permitted to attend Middle School games without a parent/guardian. High School students MUST have WM or JG student ID.

Attendance Matters!
Attendance Matters
Regular attendance is crucial for your child's academic success. Please make every effort to ensure your child attends school on time every day and stays throughout the whole day. Consistent attendance throughout the school day allows your child to engage in learning and maximize their educational opportunities fully.
Illness: If your child is not feeling well and cannot attend school, please notify us immediately. Students who are ill should not attend school to prevent the spread of illness to others.
Excused Absences: We understand that there may be instances when your child needs to be absent due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other legitimate reasons. Please notify the school in advance whenever possible to classify the absence as excused.
Unexcused Absences: Unexcused absences negatively impact your child's education. Absences without valid reasons will be considered unexcused, and appropriate actions may be taken per district policy.
Timely reporting of absences helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures that your child's absence is properly documented. Absences must be reported within 24 hours.
There are two convenient methods for reporting your child's absence to facilitate efficient communication and accurate attendance records.
You can notify your child's school through the dedicated attendance line. Please leave a detailed message stating your child's name, grade, and reason for absence.
You can report absences directly through MiStar, our secure online portal for student information. MiStar provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to submit absences.
Thank you for your ongoing support in creating a positive and productive learning environment for all our students.
