Great First Two Weeks
Dear CCPS Families,
We have had an excellent beginning to the 2024-2025 school year. Students are settling into their new routines, and our dedicated staff has been hard at work ensuring a smooth transition. The energy in our classrooms is contagious and I am thrilled to see our students engaging in their learning with such excitement.
I am exceptionally proud to announce that Brittany Rigdon, our outstanding Teacher of the Year from the Cecil County School of Technology, has been selected as one of the top 7 finalists for the Maryland Teacher of the Year award. This prestigious recognition reflects her extraordinary commitment to education and remarkable impact on our students and school community. Her innovative teaching methods and unwavering dedication embody the spirit of excellence we strive for in our district. Congratulations to Brittany on this well-deserved honor!
Our athletic programs have kicked off with great enthusiasm. From thrilling games to competitive meets, our student-athletes showcase their skills and sportsmanship. I encourage you to support our teams as they represent our schools with pride and dedication. Your encouragement plays a crucial role in their success and motivation.
As we enter the school year, I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. Your involvement and encouragement are vital to our student's success and the overall growth of our schools. Together, we are making a positive difference in our children's lives.

Material Distribution
Cecil County Public Schools uses an electronic flyer communication and delivery tool called “Peachjar.” This tool allows schools and community organizations to save paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. It also reduces the number of flyers sent home in students’ backpacks. All flyers from community organizations will be posted on your school website and sent directly to your email.
