Superintendent Communication

Dear NSSEO Families,

The weather is turning warmer and summer is just around the corner, but we still have lots of learning left to do this school year and continuing into our Extended School Year (ESY). Our programs are busy planning activities that will help our students maintain the progress they have made this school year, and they are also planning some fun summertime activities for students. As a reminder, ESY will start on June 10th and will be held Monday through Friday through June 28th, with the exception of June 19th, in recognition of Juneteenth.

Governing Board Meeting

At our NSSEO Governing Board meeting this month, we highlighted Kirk Campus and honored their students, Cody F. and Joseph A., District 211; Matthew B. and Ellie M., District 214, as our ‘Shining Stars”. Details will be provided in the May Governing Board Briefs communication. Congratulations, Cody, Joseph, Matthew, and Ellie!

Beginning with the 23-24 school year, we have also started recognizing students who have left NSSEO programming and gone on to successful post-school achievements. We call these honorees our “Shooting Stars.” Congratulations to Jack A. and Michael A., who are the May Shooting Stars. Details will be provided in the May Governing Board Brief. Congratulations, Michael and Jack!
