Nixon Elementary Weekly Update

• Trick-or-Treating at Nixon: It's finally here! Our Nixon PTA Sponsored Trick-or-Treat event is Monday night (rain or shine!). The event runs from 5:15-6:15 on the Nixon playground. In case of rain, we move the event inside! Wear your costumes & bring your friends for some fun hosted by our Nixon PTA!
  
  
• Nixon Costume Parade: This year we will host our annual Nixon Costume Parade on Tuesday, October 31 starting at 2:30pm. This event is open to families who would like to come watch the parade and take pictures of their children. The parade is on the Nixon playground, so just join us outside on the blacktop, no need to come inside or check in.
  
  Please send your child with their costume in a bag. We will help them get into costumes that afternoon and then start the parade at 2:30 on the blacktop.
  
  After the parade, you are welcome to take your child home for the day. We will have sign out sheets outside for you to let us know you're taking them home after. No RSVP needed--just come on over the Nixon!
  
  Costume Expectations: No Masks, No Makeup, No Weapons, & School Appropriate
  
  Don't have a costume? No worries! We have extras at the school. Have costumes you'd like to donate to Nixon that don't fit anymore? We'd love to add them to our costume collection to lend out to learners here at school each year.

• Culvers Nixon Night is Coming: On November 7, we'd love to have you join us for dinner at the Hiawatha Culver's (1005 N Center Point Rd, Hiawatha, IA 52233) between 4:00-8:00pm. 10% of all sales go back to our Nixon PTA (no flyer needed!) Please tell your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. to drive through our dine in to help raise money for our Nixon PTA. See flyer for below with more information.
