October's Character Word of the Month: Self-Direct
This month, our Capturing Kids' Hearts character word is Self-Direct. Self-Direction is the ability to envision our future goals and take intentional steps toward becoming the best version of ourselves. It teaches our students to focus on what they can do, instead of what they can't control. By making positive choices about their emotions, attitudes, and actions, our students are learning how to take responsibility for their personal growth. Whether it's in the classroom or on the playground, developing self-direction will help them achieve their goals and become leaders of their own success!

October is School Principal Appreciation πMonthπ!
Letβs give a shout-out to the hero of our halls, the captain of our classrooms, and the fearless leader of lunch duty! From navigating endless meetings to knowing exactly when weβre not actually sick in the nurseβs office (π), principals are the unsung multitasking pros we all need.
Here's to Mrs. Garrett who keep our school running, our students learning, and manages to do it all with a smile (and probably a hidden stash of coffee somewhere βοΈ). Your leadership sets the tone, and we get itβitβs no easy task keeping a school full of kids and staff on track. We see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you!
So if you see Mrs. Garrett this month, give her a nod, a high five, or maybe even a fresh cup of coffee!
